Hi Yusti, could you please tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi, I’m Yusti, I am a makeup artist, specialized in fashion and beauty makeup.
What inspired you to pursue a career in the makeup industry? How did you get started in the industry?
It started when I was a kid and I loved to draw. As I grew up and got to know myself better, I realized how much I enjoy interpersonal relationships, human interaction, and how people interpret beauty differently. I was intrigued to translate that into makeup artistry.
How would you describe Normal Estate as a brand from your perspective?
Never forget a good first impression. From the first conversation about why and how Normal Estate was created, I felt how much it resonated with me. I believe scents are deeply connected to memory and emotions, and I can see how much love and belief you put into the brand.
Which Normal Estate fragrance resonates with you the most?
I love 024. I’m very picky with perfume and usually stick to one scent if it makes me feel good, uplifted, and comfortable all day. To me, 024 feels sweet and assured, mysterious yet playful, and it always puts me in a good mood.

Can you describe your signature look as a makeup artist?
I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way. I love natural makeup, and even when I experiment, I always try to highlight and inject the natural beauty of the talent.
Do you have a favorite makeup look you’ve created?
It controversies hard to choose, but I loved the look I created for Pillar’s last campaign with IKYK and Tanah Lesae on Mireya. There are more exciting projects coming, and I can’t wait to share them.

Can you share three random facts about yourself?
- I used to dance Latin professionally during university.
- I really dislike running and cardio.
- I dream of becoming a farmer after retiring as a makeup artist.
If you could travel with two people to two countries, who and where would it be?
My daughter and my boyfriend. We loved our trip to Argentina and would love to explore more of it, and Japan has always been a destination we plan to visit together.

Can you tell us more about Pears Magazine and your role in it?
PEARS Magazine is a passion project I created with my friends. It’s a fashion magazine that also discusses social issues. I serve as the beauty editor, handling all beauty-related content. Our last issue focused on body dysmorphia through beauty, piercing, and body modification.
