Hi Yusti, could you please tell us a little bit about yourself? 

Hi, I’m Yusti, I am a makeup artist, specialized in fashion and beauty makeup

What inspired you to pursue a career in the makeup industry? How did you get started in the industry?

It started when I was a kid, and i love to draw, then i grew up and getting to know myself better, how i enjoy the interpersonal relationship between people, the human interaction, the complex being of a human and how they would interpret beauty differently, and i was intrigue to translate that into a makeup artistry.

      We first met you during our profile photoshoot for Normal Estate and we stayed in touch ever since. How would you describe Normal Estate as a brand from your perspective?

      Never forget a good first impression! It was like a vibe check, and from the first time I talked with you guys, about why and how you create Normal Estate, I remember how it relates so much with me, how I also think scents are related to memory, to human perception of feelings. I always love people who create because they believe in something, and I can see how you believe in the vision of Normal Estate and how you put love in it

      You’ve tried our three fragrances before. Which Normal Estate resonates with you the most and how would you describe that scent?

      I love the 024, I am very picky with my perfume, and I would stick to one scent if I don't find any other scent that can make me feel good, happy and in an uplifted mood all day. I would describe 024 as something sweet and assured, mysterious and playful. For some reasons I could not explain, 024 brings a good mood in me.

      We really love your work as a makeup artist. Can you describe your signature look when doing makeup?

      Thank you! I think we are all beautiful in our own way, so I love doing natural makeup, even with the most experimental look I did, I always “inject” the beauty of the talent.

      Do you have any favorite makeup look that you’ve created previously? 

      Ah hard to tell! I love the look I did for Pillar's last campaign with IKYK and Tanah Lesae that I did on Mireya. There will be some more interesting projects we will do in the future! I can't wait to share!

      Can you tell us three random facts about yourself that people might not know?

      I used to do latin dance professionally when I was at the Uni, 2. I HATE running and cardios :(, 3. I would like to be a farmer when I retire as a makeup artist.

      If you could only bring 2 people to travel with to 2 countries, who would you choose and where would you take them? 

         

          This is easy! My daughter and my boyfriend, last time we traveled to Argentina and we loved it and would love to explore different parts of the country, and Japan, which we planned to go together also.

          You mention Pears Magazine in your social media and we are curious about it. Would you mind telling us more about Pears and your role in it?

          So glad you asked! PEARS Magazine is a passion project I did with my friends. It is a fashion magazine that also talks about social issues between us. My role is as beauty editor, being in charge in all beauty related content in the magazine, in the last issue we talked about body dysmorphia, and made a beauty spread regarding the issue, related with piercing and body modifications.
